Overview
Our client is looking for an Accounting Clerk responsible for creating, reviewing and maintaining accounting records as well as keeping a record of business transactions. The Accounting Clerk should be organized and skilled at using data entry software. Ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or Accounting and be a self-starter with ability to work independently as well as on a team.
Responsibilities
- Performs Data entry
- Maintains updated records of invoices and receipts
- Track bank deposits and transfers.
- Maintains financial accounts reconciliation
- Develop financial reports.
- Supports audits and tax functions
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree (BA or BS) in Business or Finance or Accounting; or Degree + accounting related work experience.
- Experience using accounting software to keep track of all financial transactions within a
- business.
- Working knowledge of different types of federal contracts.
- Accounting background
- Familiar with bookkeeping
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with FAR approved accounting systems – strong preference for Procas accounting system knowledge.
