Overview
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst II to provide critical support to one of their most valued clients within the power delivery sector. This role focuses on supporting diverse financial groups utilizing a variety of O&M, Capital, balance sheet, and clearing accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the electric and gas utility industry, and a proven ability to manage large datasets. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact the success of a high-profile partnership.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Provide business function support across various power delivery settings.
- Develop and implement processes to meet the diverse needs of financial groups.
- Prepare project estimates within the electric and gas utility industry using software and estimating manuals.
- Analyze and interpret data related to O&M, Capital, balance sheet, and clearing accounts.
- Utilize PC and mainframe applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PeopleSoft, Time, EERS, and Passport.
- Develop customized reports to support business needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and the client to gather requirements and provide solutions.
- Communicate effectively with the client, providing regular updates and insights.
- Travel throughout the territory as required, using a personal vehicle.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience in preparing project estimates within the electric and gas utility industry.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of O&M, Capital, balance sheet, and clearing accounts.
- Proficiency in utilizing software and estimating manuals for project preparation.
- Expertise in PC and mainframe applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, PeopleSoft, Time, EERS, and Passport.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manage and manipulate large datasets.
- Ability to run SQL queries.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to interact professionally with high-profile clients.
- Valid driver’s license.
