Drilling Manager

Terms of Employment

• W2 Contract, 6 Months
• Onsite Opportunity
• Shift Schedule : Monday-to-Friday schedule (24/7 availability is required due to the drilling operation)

Overview of Position

Work with a major energy project team led , filling a critical, singular resource need for a geothermal project kicking off in mid-February. This high-impact role requires leading the planning and execution phases, ensuring successful operations management with a focus on geothermal applications in the US

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall drilling operations for the project.
• Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the project.
• Participate in the project’s planning phase, primarily based in Houston.
• Manage the execution phase, primarily based at the project site in Utah.
• Travel frequently between Houston (team location) and Utah (customer/crew location).
• Maintain availability for the 24/7 drilling operation, including potential remote support during weekends.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong skill set in Drilling Management.
• Strong skill set in Operations Management.
• Experience in operations management during operations management in the US.
• A minimum of 20 years of total relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of Geothermal experience (highly preferred, but flexibility possible for strong candidates).
• Willingness to travel between Houston, TX, and the project site in Utah.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Possessing an IWCF Level 4 certification.
• Ability to work remotely during less critical operations (this is not a defined remote schedule, but a potential allowance)
