Overview
The Service Benefit Plan Administrative Service Corporation (SBPASC) needs a Java /J2EE and B2B developer. The selected individuals will be working on full-lifecycle, scrum-team development tasks, maintenance activities and production support related to our eService and Digital eXperience programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with architects and technical leads on software design, prototyping, and development.
- Developing software per architecture design and industry best practices.
- Unit & integration testing of developed code.
- Participating in code reviews.
- Documenting system changes.
- Mentoring more junior resources and enforcing software development best practices.
- Operational support and maintenance programming.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience with software development, basic coding and compilation, software architecture/design, user requirements definition and software specification development
- 8+ years of Java experience in the development of Java/JEE enterprise applications using JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, RESTful, AJAX, JSON, SQL, JUnit, and Maven
- Solid experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX
- Experience with Java Script frameworks–Angular, React, JQuery.
- Creative, motivated, focused, passionate, and results-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to write efficient, clean, readable and reliable code
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills
- Independent, self-starter, and a team player
- Experience in Leading B2B development, production support and infrastructure teams
- Experience in Mapping EDI to Flat Files, SQL, XML and SAP IDOC using GIS Map Editor, Visual Mapper, and Application Integrator
- Experience in Mailbox setup for various trading partners in Gentran Integration Suite
- Experience in Trading Partner setup
- Experience in developing Business Processes using both Graphical Process Modeler (GPM) and BPML
- Experience in set up AS2 communication between trading partners and VAN
- Set up & maintenance of SAP Partner Profiles, Ports and RFC Destinations
- Experience in GAP Analysis of system specifications and business requirements
- Experience in Design and Development of customer/channel partner business processes and information flow for both XML and EDI communications
- Experience in working with UNIX environment and Shell scripting
- Strong, hands-on experience using the latest Java/JEE technologies
- Experience with open source Frameworks including Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MyBatis
- Experience with both RESTful and SOAP web services
- Familiarity with DevOps technologies, including Jenkins
- Familiarity with various UI frameworks like JQuery, AJAX
- Healthcare experience/Familiarity with HIPAA X12 transactions, e.g 837, 834, 270, 276
- EDI Technical Mapping (ITXA/WTX Eclipse based GUI) and Business Process (SI/SFG) design experience
- Integration Map Development – EDI, Application Files, Database
- Trading Partner Setups using SI/SFG, Creating Business Processes in SI, ITXA Mapping
- Java 8/Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Message based/Event driven approaches to design and implementation
- Comfort in working within a unix environment (AIX)
Preferred Skills & Experience
- WebSphere, AIX, LDAP, DB2, Cucumber, Selenium, Artifactory, Crucible, Agile Scrum, Spark, Scalar, Material Design.
- Experience with Spring Integration technology.
- Experience with Big Data.
- Experience with various security protocols or framework/tools – SSO, Oauth2, IBM WebSeal.
