Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Organizational Development Consultant to lead the planning and implementation of large-scale change initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to enhance organizational strategies, streamline business processes, and refine structures, roles, and responsibilities. This role involves delivering consultative expertise in change management, business process improvement, organizational effectiveness, training, and project management. The consultant will play a key role in developing project and communication plans to support successful organizational transformation. Responsibilities include collaborating with multiple teams to document current procedures, identify process gaps, and create comprehensive SOPs for final approval. Additionally, the consultant will design detailed workflow diagrams using Visio or comparable software to visualize and optimize processes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the definition, implementation and continuous improvement of human capital and change management strategies and techniques based on organizational needs.
- Supports and/or leads human capital related projects or initiatives to help drive overall organizational effectiveness.
- Coaches leaders, teams and large groups through organizational development and change processes.
- Facilitates the adoption of new or improved processes and/or procedures across the organization, including technology implementations, workforce/human resources transformations, and corporate policies.
- Tracks and reports project progress, performance, risk and issues to project stakeholders.
- Manages competing demands relevant to scope, schedule, risk and quality; and understands different stakeholder requirements and expectations to realize satisfactory outcomes.
- Protects organization value by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
- Contributes to organization development and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests helping others accomplish job results.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in I/O Psychology, Human Resources or related field.
- 5 years of progressive workforce analysis, program design and delivery experience in a corporate environment.
- Experience in working with Visio and Snagit software applications to create workflow process diagrams.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- Knowledge of advanced coaching methods, leadership coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Experience in group facilitation and training.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to overcome resistance to implement change.
- Ability to anticipate future trends and recommend solutions and process improvement plans.
