Overview & Responsibilities
A large health insurance provider is seeking a skilled Senior IT Project Manager to support the next-generation broker portal initiative. This project is a key component of a larger program designed to expand Salesforce technology upstream, building on a recent Salesforce implementation for customer experience. The focus is on improving sales and broker workflows and enhancing the overall user experience for internal stakeholders, including sales and product teams. The Senior IT Project Manager will lead specific workstreams within this initiative, ensuring effective collaboration with the assigned Senior Program Manager and other cross-functional teams. The role requires managing implementation tasks, addressing dependencies with other programs such as the product lifecycle management initiative, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include driving project planning and execution, managing financials, identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce implementations or equivalent sales platform projects, with the ability to bridge technical and business needs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of IT project management experience.
- Proven ability to manage budgets of $1MM or more.
- Experience leading workstreams within larger programs and delivering on project milestones.
- Familiarity with Salesforce implementations or similar sales platform projects, including understanding the functional needs of sales teams.
- Strong risk management, financial management, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- SAFe Scrum certification.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with Salesforce technology in the context of sales operations.
- Knowledge of broker workflows and sales enablement tools.
