    Terms of Employment

    • W2 Contract, 24 months
    • This position is hybrid with Tuesday – Thursday onsite. 
    • The office is located in Berwyn, PA. 

    Overview

    Our client is looking for a Senior Construction Manager to oversee transmission and substation projects.

    Responsibilities will include: 

    • Developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets for transmission and substation projects.
    • Leading and managing project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
    • Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
    • Managing project risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies.
    • Procuring materials, equipment, and services for transmission and substation projects.
    • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards on construction sites.
    • Preparing and reviewing project documentation, including contracts, reports, and drawings.
    • Providing leadership and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
    • Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality.
    • Communicating with clients, stakeholders, and senior management to provide updates on project status.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 15 years of distribution construction experience in the electric power industry.
    • Utility background/CM Foreman (240 kv) experience. 
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
    • Knowledge of construction and electrical safety, as well as ability to obtain Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) qualification. 
    • Understanding of electrical construction standards and construction drawings. 
    • Ability to keep track of multiple project tasks to control scope, cost and schedule. 
    • Experience utilizing MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Asset Suite 8 (Safety / LOTO audits). 
    • Experience working in high voltage electrical construction, substation maintenance, relay control, transmission and distribution systems.
    • Efficient written and verbal communication. 
    • Adaptability to varied work locations/configurations. 
    • Attention to details (safety and work quality). 
    • Ability to work with varied skill/trade groups.
    • High work ethic, punctuality, accountability and communication.
