    Overview
    Looking for a Test Engineer to support our Advanced Technology Software Engineering Team. As a member of the Software Engineering department you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, superconducting foundry engineers, and software engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum, MD.
    The scope of position is to support the software engineering projects UI/UX design to ensure high adoption of the software products by user. Design and develop an automated test software suite for a legacy application. The team is of 10, 8 software developers, SM, PO’s as part of an agile software development team. The technical environment is supporting a legacy COTS software with C++, Winform, and MySQL backend

    Responsibilities :
    • Design UI/UX to enable high user adoption of the final software product
    • Collaborate with users to identify design improvements to reduce engineering effort of our new application
    • Work with the software engineering teams to plan/scope work to be non-interfering with fast pace project milestones

    Required Skills & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience
    • Working knowledge in one of the following languages: C++, Winforms
    • Experience in developing unit tests, refactoring code, and smoke tests
    • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

    Preferred Skills & Experience
    • Experienced software developer that can support additional backend software development tasks in addition to UI/UX updates
    • Experience developing WinForms applications and supported complex legacy software suites
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast paced team
    • Utilized Atlassian software suite
    • Experience working within an Agile scrum framework

    • Stand-up software test architecture for a legacy COTS application
    • Collaborate with developers, SM, and PO’s to identify critical tests
    • Write and perform all tests to ensure quality software products prior to software release
    • 2 week sprints with backlog refinement and planning
    • Complete work within sprint with the review/support of teammates

    Required Skills & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience
    • Working knowledge in one of the following languages: C++, Winforms
    • Experience in developing unit tests, refactoring code, and smoke tests
    • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

    • Experienced in creating and deploying a test architecture for legacy applications.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
    • Utilized Atlassian software suite.
    • Experience working within an Agile Scrum framework
