    Overview
    Our client is seeking a Project Management Analyst to support Transmission/Substation/T/D Line Upgrades by analyzing, reviewing, and documenting project requirements throughout its lifecycle. This role involves assisting the Project Management team in completing projects within their planned scope, schedule, and budget while acting as a liaison between technical, functional, and non-functional teams. Under the guidance of a senior project manager, the Project Management Analyst contributes to the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
    Responsibilities

    • Create and process Contract Payment Authorizations (CPAs) and Invoice Checklists, Contract Requisitions (CREQs), Contract Change Requests (CCRs)
    • Create and monitor Work Orders and Work Order Tasks (WO/WOT)
    • Create and monitor Material Requests and Job Site Delivery (MRs)
    • Create Service Requests (SRs)
    • Assist with Monthly Reporting in regards to Project/Program Progress
    • Create and maintain Work Folders/OneDrive
    • Support Project Closeout by clearing FIN005 Reports and assisting with Asset Map Rows (AMRs)
    • Assist with creating of Bid Packages, Bid Evaluation and audit of Contractors Of Choice/Engineers Of Choice Estimates
    • Participation in Walkdowns to review Safety and Project Objectives
    • Estimate Requests

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, or Project Management.
    • PMP Certification
    • Construction contract management and accounts payable experience.
    • Proficient in AS8, WPT, EPS, PowerBI, and Excel.
    • Strong problem solving and time management skills.
    • Financial acumen
    • Detail oriented

  • Senior Interconnection Project Manager

    Terms of Employment

    • W2 Contract, 24 months
    • This position is hybrid with Mon-Wed in office unless in the field on job sites or walkdowns.
    • The office is located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. 
    • The schedule is Monday-Friday.  
    • The incumbent must have access to a vehicle and be able to lead field visits to non-ADA compliant areas.

    Overview

    Our client is seeking five Utility Interconnection Project Managers to oversee a portfolio of more than 25 Distributed Energy Resource (DER) interconnection projects, with a primary focus on Community Solar initiatives. These projects involve tasks such as managing feeder line extensions, overseeing substation upgrades, and maintaining contractual relationships with customers and developers. 

    Responsibilities

    • Developing project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Leading project teams and coordinating activities to ensure that project goals are met.
    • Monitoring project progress and identifying and addressing issues or risks.
    • Communicating with stakeholders and senior management to provide updates on project status.
    • Managing project budgets and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
    • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders and external partners.
    • Leading project meetings and facilitating discussions to drive project progress.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Construction Engineering. 
    • PMP Certification
    • 1-5 years of project management experience.
    • Candidates who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree may be considered if they have strong Utility PM experience (5+ years). 
    • Experience managing medium voltage (12kV – 69KV) utility projects
    • Contract management experience. 
    • Financial & forecasting acumen 
    • Proficient in reading electrical prints.
    • Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley accounting principals, real estate easement, zoning, and permitting experience.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and Asset Suite 8.
    • Ability to manage a portfolio of >25 projects in all stages of initiation, scope definition, design, construction, and closeout. 
    • Able to clearly communicate with all stakeholders.

  • Senior Cost Engineering Analyst

    Terms of Employment

    • This position is hybrid with Monday-Wednesday being in-office. 
    • The office is located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
    • The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 AM or 9 AM to 4 PM or 5 PM.

    Overview

    Our client is looking for six (6) Cost Engineering Analysts to support construction projects by providing comprehensive project controls and cost engineering in accordance with PC-ED-2014. The role involves tasks such as managing journal entries, offering variance explanations, and handling budgeting, forecasting, and project authorization. Ideal candidates should have a strong background and interest in finance, accounting, and project management, and will collaborate closely with the director, manager of projects, project managers, contractors, and other key team members.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze project actual and forecast to ensure compliance with annual internal and external Sarbanes Oxley Audits. 
    • Identify project/program budget, forecast, and authorization issues early and develop resolutions to meet project metrics. Provide historical comparisons of complete projects and programs. 
    • Develop and monitor the budgets for transmission, sub-station, distribution projects and programs. 
    • Manage program financial risks and opportunities and provide detailed analysis of variances to budget, quarterly plan, and month over month variance analysis. 
    • Prepare project accrual and JE and support project managers during financial challenge meetings. 
    • Provide 24/7 on call services for emergent projects. 
    • Run, summarize and analyze various Hyperion reports to support projects and processes. Schedule and run monthly forecasting and accrual meetings with Project managers, report variances and issues to both the PM and project controls leadership. 
    • Utilize Excel detailed cost files for budgeting, cost management updates and earned value performance output. 
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, authorization limits and accruals for all assigned projects and programs. 
    • Provide monthly reports for: reauthorization risk, forecast accuracy by Project Manager, program and department, CIAC forecast and analysis, Contingency released and remaining, and others as requested. 
    • Ensures that all PAR forms in WPT are completed properly and route for approvals. 
    • Provides review of FERC assets, Capital & Expense classification, and property units for projects. 
    • Supports the development of the financial slides used in DOA approval presentations representing the requested authorization, funding sources, projected spend, etc. 
    • Monitors the portfolio of projects estimated at completion versus  authorization ensuring that projects do not exceed authorization. 
    • Manages the Vendor Forecasting process which is used as a source of input for Cost Engineering. 
    • Reviews vendor forecasts to ensure that they are providing quality forecasts. 
    • Develops material request reporting which is used as a source of input for Cost Engineering. 
    • Provides an accounting review of all centrally managed material requests and contractor contracts to ensure appropriate department and sub account assignments. 
    • Creates ITNs in WPT if needed to track project budget, forecast, and authorization.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or project management.
    • 2+ years of experience as a Project Cost Analyst handling financial data. 
    • Understanding of accruals
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Attention to detail 
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to communicate results of financial analysis.

  • Senior Interconnection Project Manager

    Overview

    Our client is looking for a Senior Interconnection Project Manager to support Distributed Energy Resources (DER) interconnection design and construction projects, working closely with solar developers. DER Interconnection Project Managers (PM) are responsible for all aspects of their projects and coordinating with customers to interconnect new customer-owned DERs. Project Managers interpret design documents to develop/execute schedules in accordance with established Interconnection Agreements (IA). They own procurement contract resources, coordination with internal resource groups, design, electrical system outage coordination, construction, interconnection and commissioning, financial reporting and tracking in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley principals, and all stakeholder communications required to successfully interconnect customers. 

    Our client’s Project Managers oversee ~20-30 projects each. Hence, the ideal candidate must be organized and able to manage multiple workflows concurrently. You will be primarily working on Community Solar projects involving feeder line extensions, substation upgrades, and a contractual relationship with the customer/developer.
